Rev. Roy Faison – Founder & Spiritual Director

Rev. Roy Faison is the founder and Spiritual Director of the Disciples of the Shepherd Chaplaincy Agency, an organization dedicated to bringing spiritual care, encouragement, and compassionate support to seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

With more than 31 years of chaplaincy experience, Rev. Faison has devoted his life to ministry and service, providing emotional and spiritual guidance to individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments. His work focuses on addressing not only the spiritual needs of residents but also supporting their emotional well-being and strengthening the connection between faith and care within healthcare environments.

Rev. Faison has received extensive theological and pastoral training. He earned certification in Christian Ministry from the New York Theological Seminary and completed additional pastoral care training through the Pastoral Care Awareness Institute of Religion and Health. He also completed chaplaincy training through Signature HealthCare’s Department of Spirituality Chaplain School, further equipping him to serve individuals in medical and long-term care settings.

Throughout his ministry, Rev. Faison has been actively involved in faith-based community outreach and large Christian gatherings. His leadership helped bring together churches and communities through events such as “Super Sunday,” a large worship gathering those united thousands in praise, music, and fellowship.

Through the Disciples of the Shepherd Chaplaincy Agency, Rev. Faison continues his mission of ensuring that seniors and those in care facilities are not forgotten. His work focuses on providing compassionate visitation, spiritual counseling, prayer, and support for residents, families, and healthcare staff.

Rev. Faison remains committed to his calling—to bring comfort, faith, and hope to those who need it most.
